Introduction to Zenith

Zenith empowers Canton with a multi-VM execution environment, with an initial focus on the EVM, followed by SVM.

By extending Canton with a native EVM environment, Zenith allows developers to deploy Solidity-based applications that are atomically composable across Canton subnets, with all activity settled on Canton MainNet.

Zenith addresses key priorities laid out in the Polyglot Canton Whitepaper, such as:

• EVM compatibility,

• Regulatory compliance.

Rather than requiring developers to learn new languages or frameworks, Zenith lets teams bring their existing EVM applications to Canton while benefiting from Canton's privacy model, regulatory compliance features, and atomic composability.
